project 365 day 4

I'm feeling trapped. Cabin fever is setting in, because I haven't left the house all day (A trip to the shop for some fresh air and tasty snacks is called for). Day 4 photograph. I'm not sure about it's artistic merit, but it describes my emotions at the moment rather well:

I figure I should post these here too

I've been, or will be posting all of my project 365 shots on my flickr account, but I guess I'll put them up here also. Here's day 2:

For today's photo - which I haven't decided on yet, we went to the zoo. It was quite the depressing experience, a dull and dark experience. The animals were quiet and motionless for the most part, either eating, sleeping or pacing. I wonder for what purpose, we continue to have zoos. Entertainment, education, some form of preservation? None of those traits were obvious. I don't know.

project 365+1 day 1

Starting Project 265 today. A bit late ^_^ I know, but I managed to carry my camera around all day ,even though I ended up taking my first photo at home. And *wee* check it out.

project366day1

Nick bought me a sewing maching! It's got over 34 programs, 4 art stitches and 14 digital stitches so I can do embroidery and other fancy trim. I'm scared of the machine and the quick needles, I hope I get over my fear and can start creating beautiful clothing and toys. This is defiantly going to help towards
31. Sew some clothing that other people would like to wear
32. Spend a week planning and making an awesome Halloween costume
.. although it may take a while for no. 31! My first project is going to be a simple bag which I can carry my dSLR around in within my handbag, my camera bag is just too cumbersome to take everywhere.
We also bought two lunch boxes and some smaller containers to put inside them in order to create our own bento box (no. 8) Even thought I'm not back at college yet, I think I'm going to make some sushi later on if I can convince Nick to do the main part of dinner cooking.
Tomorrow, I'm going to begin draft eight of my paper, hopefully getting it to some semblance of a finished article before I go back to college. I'd really like to get a couple of weeks of lecture slides done for my lectures. I'm so excited that they're taking me back for more ^_^ I'm starting to love this lecturing jazz, especially now that I have lost the fear. Maybe I'll even be able to sew together some lecturery looking clothing over the next couple of months. Tweedy.
Oh and da took this photo of me out on Tequila over the xmas...it's pretty )

101 things in 1001 days.. starting today Jan 1st 2008

I've recently joined [info]jan1_2008 in order to take part in the 100 things in 1001 days challenge. The challenge was initially created by Michael Green

According to the website...

The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

And so my list: 100 things to do in 1001 days )
